With the Obama Administration's announcement last week of continued raids of Central American refugee women and children, the need for analysis on the root causes of migration is immediate. It is clear that the deportation raids won't curtail migration and that existing US policies are at the core of the crisis driving people from their homes.
In light of this, the Human Rights Alliance for Child Refugess & Families, in collaboration with the Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador (CISPES), invites you to a guest talk with Professor Moisés Gomez of the University of Central America (UCA) and the Jesuit Migration Network El Salvador who will speak about the root causes of migration and what we can do to halt border militarization in Central America.
Light refreshments will be served! Event is in Spanish, but will have simultaneous English translation. Please feel free to share this event with your colleagues, friends, family, and community.
